Dear Customers,
we are moving more of our processes online, step by step. Our aim is to make the entire chain, from submitting samples and receiving results to certificate verification by customs authorities, faster and easier.
A diagnostic test involves many administrative steps. These include manual forms, repeated requests for documents, and individual checks by telephone or email. This takes time for our customers, the responsible authorities, and our laboratory team. We are therefore gradually replacing these tasks with secure digital processes.
Our online authorities portal shows what this approach can achieve. It has been available since January 2026 and is now used by customs, veterinary, and border authorities in 25 countries across five continents. Approved authorities can verify certificates 24/7 using the laboratory identifier and the animal’s microchip number.
Within the first few months, telephone requests for certificate verification fell by 98%. Many certificates can now be checked online without the responsible authority having to contact us directly.
We have also offered digitally sealed certificates for some time. These certificates use a qualified electronic seal under eIDAS. Digital certificates are easier to send and verify, while their origin and integrity can also be confirmed. We are currently examining where the digital certificate can become the standard and where paper remains necessary. We will introduce these changes gradually, taking regulatory requirements and acceptance by our customers and the responsible authorities into account.
Online self-service ordering of our tests is another part of this development. Read more in our post about version 2 of the online order wizard.
We are taking these steps together with our strategic partner Sandorian. By automating recurring administrative tasks, we give our team more time for diagnostics, research and development, and direct customer support.
