  • Prices
Dear customers,
you have certainly already been confronted with supply bottlenecks and price increases in some areas of life. Unfortunately, this development does not pass us by without a trace. So far, we have been able to maintain our services in the usual form despite scarce materials. However, the increased prices of consumables force us to adjust our prices, which have been stable for years, from 01.01.2022 (see price list)

We ask for your understanding and hope for a continued good cooperation.

  • EU Tax Regulations
Since 01.07.21 the import regulations of the EU have changed. The exemption limit of EUR 22,- for VAT has been abolished. Every import of sample specimen is now subject to VAT. The amount due depends on the German tax rate of 19%. The transportation costs are also considered to the customs amount and taxed. Therefore we recommend the incoterm "Delivery at Place" (DAP).
Please note that we cannot bear any additional costs and therefore must refuse to accept shipments.
To ensure the handling of your samples, please note the following points:
1. the content must be correctly labelled/declared: "Blood samples (serum) of dogs/cats/ferrets for rabies antibody determination (duty-exempt) for import into the EU"
2. select DTP service from your carrier (Duty, Taxes paid by shipper).

  • Sending of certificates
    • As a result of the SARS-2 CoVD pandemic, postal traffic with many countries is restricted or suspended. Certificates are therefore mostly sent by email. Please inform yourself about ways to get a certificate sent to you.

  • Detection of SARS-CoV2 in pets
    • We have set up a test for SARS_CoV2 RNA in samples from pets. We can test swabs (nasal- or pharyngeal swabs), blood samples (EDTA blood), faeces and organ samples.

  • SARS-CoV2 / COVID-19
    • Due to the SARS-CoV2 pandemic, operations at Justus-Liebig-University are severely restricted. Viro Vet Diagnostics is currently not affected. We ensure patient care in the field of veterinary medicine. However, there may be problems or delays in sample transmission and sending reports. We will inform you as soon as there are new developments. This is a test excerpt.
